Promoting Family Life

"God established the family as the basic cell of human society. Therefore, we must strive to make the needs and concerns of families a central national priority." Faithful Citizenship: A Call to Political Responsibility

Legislation regarding marriage, just wages, children, education and the right to choose education, as well as other public policy issues that have an impact on family life is the concern of the Catholic Conference. Bills before the General Assembly in this session are listed in the chart below.

 AN ACT relating to the safety, learning, and well-being of students.  Amend KRS 158.440 to require school districts to have procedures in place to address student harassment, intimidation, and bullying; amend KRS 158.441 to define "harassment, intimidation, or bullying"; amend KRS 158.148 to require school districts to formulate a code of acceptable behavior prohibiting student harassment, intimidation, or bullying
