KY House of Representatives Passes HB 269

House Bill 269 has passed the Kentucky House of Representatives with an overwhelming bipartisan majority.  The legislation would eliminate the death penalty for individuals diagnosed with a severe mental illness.  It is now being considered by the Senate.  

Please encourage your state senators to support HB 269 by calling 1-800-372-7181 and leaving a message.  Every call matters.  After many years of work, this could be the best opportunity to pass this important legislation.
